UTILITY
KENNY offers a nationally-recognized expertise in utility construction. As long-neglected infrastructure and energy needs receiving municipal funding for repair, many cities will be looking to companies like Kenny to rebuild.
Kenny’s Power Group has now installed hundreds of miles worth of transmission and distribution lines on separate projects in Illinois, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Utah’s Wasatch Front. We have also built substations for longtime Chicago client Commonwealth Edison, as well as designing, procuring and constructing dozens of distribution systems for Portland-based utility PacifiCorp. Recently, Kenny has added significant work on the east coast in West Virginia, Maryland and Virginia as part of Allegheny Power's TrAIL and PATH projects.
Similarly, KENNY’s TUNNEL GROUP completed the largest public works project ever awarded by the City of Los Angeles –a $257-million interceptor sewer that services three million people. Since 1995, Kenny has driven more tunnels in the U.S. than any other contractor. All told, we have been involved in more than $1.5 billion worth of successful subsurface work over the last 10 years.
